Its symptoms can be both embarrassing and debilitating, robbing individuals of their independence and freedom. Imagine your Nana, who loves to sing silly songs and dance around, suddenly finding herself in a wheelchair, struggling to maintain her equilibrium. The simplest tasks, such as tying shoelaces or even speaking clearly, become daunting challenges.

Living with a constant reminder of my condition, like a timer ticking down loudly around my neck, is not the future I envision.
